* Launch on September 19 at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Fair * Innovative approach: CAReer is a worldwide talent program for graduates, standardized across all divisions and functions, with individual support for all participants * Angela Titzrath-Grimm, Executive Development Manager at DaimlerChrysler: "CAReer offers executive prospects extensive development opportunities with the company throughout the world."Stuttgart, Sep 18, 2006 -- DaimlerChrysler will launch its new talent program, CAReer, on September 19 at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Fair in Hanover. The new program revolutionizes the entire talent development environment within the DaimlerChrysler group, replacing all existing entry programs with an integrated worldwide approach, across all divisions and functions. CAReer is targeted at technical and business management graduates with outstanding academic records, and some initial practical experience. According to Angela Titzrath-Grimm, Worldwide Executive Development Manager at DaimlerChrysler: CAReer is a great way for our new colleagues to get to know all the divisions and functional areas of DaimlerChrysler. Participants have a wealth of development opportunities throughout the company. But there is also individually targeted content to prepare the trainees for the roles they will take up at the end of the program. Each CAReer trainee will complete three projects in different DaimlerChrysler business units and divisions, over a total period of 12 to 18 months. Graduates entering the program apply directly for advertised vacancies in a functional field, where they will take up a position on completing the program. The projects to be worked on are selected in consultation with the trainees, to provide the optimum individual preparation for their future roles. The main focus of the program is on developing the participants’ specialist expertise, so that they will become know-how centers within their functional areas. Each CAReer trainee has to select one of eight fields of specialization: Engineering, Research & Development; Manufacturing & Related Functions; Procurement & Supply; Sales & Marketing; Finance, Leasing & Banking; Finance & Controlling; Information Technology; Human Resources. The project content of the CAReer program is supplemented with two training modules with an international focus, comprising training courses and seminars. And during the program, each trainee is supported by a mentor from their functional field and a coach from the HR department. Europe has been selected as the first region to launch the new DCX Talent Program (commencing in September at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Fair in Hanover). In Asia the market launch will be in November at the Auto Motor Show in Beijing. The implementation of the program in the NAFTA region is in its final stages and DC will officially introduce the program in this region within the coming months. First program participants will start the program in early 2007. For more information on the new program please visit the DC career website: http://CAReer.daimlerchrysler.com . DaimlerChrysler will be presenting its new entry program at IAA Commercial Vehicles from September 18–27, in Hall 14/15. Source: DaimlerChrysler
